Small thing that saves an afternoon: buy the cable longer than you measured, and buy it made up rather than crimping your own.
Every run I have done needed more than the tape measure said, because the route goes up and over and round things the straight line did not. Running out at 19 metres of a 20 metre run with the trunking already stuck down is a specific kind of misery.
And a factory-moulded plug with a proper strain-relief boot survives being trodden on. A hand-crimped one usually does not, and diagnosing a marginal crimp at the far end of a cable you have already boxed in is not a thing you want to do.
