Once a week early on, twice a week from about week eight. The rest should be plain easy running because the aerobic base is what stops the wheels coming off after station five.
Wrong model. You never run 8km in that race, you run 1km eight times with your heart rate already near the ceiling and your forearms wrecked from a carry. The specific skill is starting to run when your legs feel like they belong to someone else, and you can only train that by putting a run immediately after a station.
The Sunday schedule is what killed them, not the flat. Plants in low light use water slowly, so a weekly pour means the mix never dries and the roots suffocate, which shows up exactly as yellowing from the bottom up over a month. Stop watering by calendar and start watering by weight, lift the pot when you have just watered, lift it again a week later, and you will feel the difference immediately. Once you water only when it is light, half the species people call difficult become easy.
Fix it at the source, not at filing. A preparer costs less than the penalty and far less than the interest on a card. Do it before your next pay run, not in March.
Stop pacing off distance and pace off effort and time. For the September race, run your long efforts by feel and heart rate, then on race day use the kilometre markers on the course rather than the watch buzzing at its own idea of a kilometre. Every runner I know who blew up in a half did it chasing a watch that was quietly 3 percent optimistic.
Politely disagreeing with the whole framing. Forty minutes each way twice a week is eighty minutes of travel for two sessions, which is less than most people lose to their phone in an evening, and a gym solves your ceiling problem permanently rather than for six months. I did the home kit route for two years, kept buying incrementally more equipment, and by the end I had spent more than a couple of years of membership and still could not squat or deadlift properly. If the travel is the real blocker then fine, but be honest about whether it is the travel or the reluctance.
Second the buy heavier than feels sensible. Everyone underestimates how fast rows and split squats catch up to a dumbbell ceiling.
Agreed but sequencing matters. If someone has zero quality running, adding lifting first tends to just make them tired for the same slow runs. Speed work first, strength once the schedule is stable.
Also watch the first few seconds through a bottomless portafilter if you have one. Sprays and jets tell you where the fault is instantly.
The outdoor control point is the one that separates a real assessment from a sales visit. If they cannot explain what they are comparing your sample against, you are buying a printout.
The booking site let you buy it because it is selling you two unrelated products, not a journey. Minimum connection times only exist within a single ticket, and even those are published per airport and are frequently optimistic.
If you are ever doing this deliberately, hand luggage only changes the maths enormously. Same airport, domestic to domestic, no bag to collect, and 55 minutes is tight but survivable. Your case is the other one.
Going to disagree with abandoning live calls. The one person who turned up and stayed nine minutes is worth more than the eleven who did not, and you have not followed up properly. Ask them what they were hoping to see and what made them leave at nine minutes, in one short message with no pitch. Two of my first four paying customers came from that exact message, and both had ghosted me first.
Careful with the enthusiasm in here, because it cuts both ways. I met someone on a ridge in April who had cut down to a 4kg base and had no proper waterproof, and it went from pleasant to genuinely unpleasant in about forty minutes. Twenty percent is not a rule worth obeying, but neither is the number in a stranger's spreadsheet. Carry for the worst realistic weather on your route.
Also check the countries you transit through, not just the destination. A layover that involves clearing immigration puts you under that country's entry rules too, and people plan around the destination and get stopped in the middle.
I have been doing exactly the opposite, lifting on my easy days to keep them separate. That explains a lot.
I have definitely been filling the cone in two big pours to save time in the morning. That would do it.
Never occurred to me that I was brewing with yesterday's setting. Will purge from now on.
Holds vary by programme and some quietly stopped offering them, so check rather than assume. But when they exist they remove this whole failure mode.
Ask him whether he would carry an extra 6kg of gravel for no reason. He would not, so he does believe weight matters, he just draws the line where his current kit already sits. Everyone does that.
Once you get to the other end of the curve, the tell is different. Stale coffee does not gush, it goes flat and papery, and the bloom barely rises at all. Around week five in a sealed bag for me, faster once opened.
At that point I would rather brew a filter coffee directly, but for anyone who likes the immersion flavour with a clean finish it is a genuine option.
If you can wait two months and save another 150, the used market opens up considerably. Not the answer you asked for, but at this specific budget the jump from 400 to 550 buys a disproportionate amount.
Practical detail for the two base version: check whether the day trip city has luggage storage at the station and what time it closes. Also check the last train back and then plan to take the one before it, because missing the last one turns a cheap day out into a taxi you will remember for years.
Timing note from my own experience: many issuers will refund the fee if you change the product within roughly 30 days of it posting, so if you miss the deadline it is often not fatal. Do not rely on that as a plan though, and check your own issuer, policies vary and change.
