Did a smaller version of this and the thing I would tell past me is that the first cutover is the scary one and it is over in an hour. I spent two weeks writing a settings file per client, tested it against a copy of their database, then swapped one client over on a Friday morning specifically so I would have the day to fix things. It took forty minutes, one thing broke (a report header still said the old company name), and the client never noticed.

What television removes is everything that is not filmable. Waiting three weeks for a joiner who is finishing another job, waiting for plaster to dry properly before decorating, the day spent moving furniture and masking, the second visit because a sash cord snapped on a window they had already done. It also removes the fact that many of those programmes have materials or labour supplied on favourable terms in exchange for being on screen, which is not a scandal but it does mean the numbers on the screen are not numbers you can plan with. The work itself is genuinely not that dramatic, the calendar around it is where the time goes.

The stitched stop sounds much less intimidating than crimping metal onto a jacket I quite like.

Also learn the difference between layout.tsx and template.tsx before you need it rather than after. I spent a day on "why does my mount animation only play once" and the answer was one filename.

From the other side of that line, this is right. I am in one of the countries people put on those lists and the limited plan is completely fine. What I do not enjoy is being shown 29, deciding it is too much, and then being told there is a special price for people like me. The order of that conversation matters more than the number.

The fact that you can change the claims mid-transaction is what I was missing entirely. I assumed identity was fixed at connection time.

There is a middle option people forget: cut off four inches from the top of the hem allowance, then reattach the original hem to the shortened leg. You're taking the length out of the leg rather than folding it, so there's no bulk and only a small taper mismatch, which you can ease over a couple of inches. It's more work and there's a visible seam an inch above the hem, which some people like and some hate.

Regulated niche of 900 also means they all know each other, which cuts both ways harder than people expect.
