Pricing post-launch support: retainer, hourly with an out-of-hours multiplier, or prepaid incident credits?

Prepaid incident credits have worked well for me with clients who genuinely need me twice a year and hate monthly commitments. They buy a block, they draw it down, they can see the balance.

Two things make or break it. The expiry is what makes it viable: without it you are holding somebody's deposit indefinitely against work you may not want to be doing by then. And you have to actually enforce the expiry the first time, kindly and early, because if you waive it once it is not a policy any more, it is a negotiation.

Stuck at B1 Japanese for a year despite daily study, what actually changes

You changed nothing in fifteen months, which is the whole answer. 45 minutes of textbook plus reviews is a maintenance routine, not a growth routine. The B1 plateau is where structured material stops feeding you new things fast enough and you have to switch to volume of real material. Concretely: drop the textbook, read one native thing every day even badly, and make your reviews words you met in the wild rather than a premade deck.

Oily skin, humid city: which sunscreen doesn't turn into a slick by noon?

Acne-prone is doing a lot of work in your question, and non-comedogenic on a bottle is not a regulated claim anywhere I know of. I worked out which ingredient was breaking me out by patch-testing on my jaw for two weeks at a time, which is slow and boring. A dermatologist would have got me there considerably faster.

Neck aches only after 2pm even though my monitor is at eye height

Fatigue is cumulative in the neck extensors, so a small load that is fine for two hours is not fine for six. Whatever you do it will not be one adjustment that fixes it, it will be a smaller load plus more frequent breaks. If the ache ever starts spreading down an arm or bringing tingling with it, that is the point to get a physio to look at it rather than tinkering with the desk.

Pi 3B has been running my door camera since 2019 with no attention at all - what dies first on these?

The thing that extends card life more than anything is not writing to it constantly. Move logs to RAM, turn off swap on the card, and if the camera clips are already going to USB you have done most of the work. A high-endurance card sold for dashcams is a couple of pounds more than a normal one and is designed for exactly this write pattern. My oldest Pi on that setup is at seven years on the original card, which is either good practice or good luck.
