Small practical note that nobody mentions and that annoyed me for months.
A stiff leather belt is genuinely uncomfortable for the first several weeks and needs breaking in. New, it is a rigid ring that digs into your hips at the bottom of a squat, and plenty of people conclude they bought the wrong thing when they have just bought a new one. Rolling it up tightly the wrong way and leaving it, and simply using it, both sort it out within a month or so.
Also worth checking before you order: sizing goes by the measurement around your waist where the belt will sit, which is usually not your trouser size and is often a couple of sizes off it. Getting that wrong is the most common return, and it is avoidable with a tape measure and thirty seconds.
