Worth saying plainly for anybody reading this as a buying decision: nothing in the Googlebook list is a reason to replace a working laptop. The budget advice in the piece is right and it is the part that applies to most people.
The interesting question is not Googlebook versus Chromebook, it is what happens to Chromebook. Google has said it is not going anywhere today, which is a sentence that has preceded a great many things going somewhere.
