If anybody reading this does want the Pro, nothing has changed for you and it is out now. One thing to know: there was an early Face ID restart bug that Apple has said it is fixing in a software update, so do not panic if you hit it in the first week.
The budget 18e is spring as well, so do not pay full price for an old budget model now without hunting for a discount.
