Normal. Skim every day or two, or just leave it and skim once at the end. It slows down when the pH drops further. Colder ferment and a fuller jar with less headspace both discourage it next time.

Record it, with permission. You will not remember it accurately. I thought I was a good listener until I played back my first three calls and heard myself interrupting people to defend features nobody had attacked.
Also: silence. When they finish an answer, count three before you speak. The best information in every call I've done arrived in the second half of an answer, after the pause.
Middle path is telling them the shape up front: 'I'd like to ask about how you handle X for ten minutes so I only show you the relevant part: is that ok?' Nobody has ever said no to that, and it stops them feeling ambushed.
Watch review fatigue on option B specifically. PR 17 of 20 gets a much worse review than PR 2 and everyone knows it. Mitigate by making the boring ones genuinely boring, same shape every time, no drive-by improvements, agent instructed to change nothing except the wiring.
I dry cleaned a wool coat roughly monthly for two winters because I wanted it to look sharp, and I effectively sanded the face of the cloth off. It went from a soft matte finish to a shiny flattened look, particularly on the seat and the forearms, and no amount of anything brings that back. A good brush and airing after wear, spot cleaning, and one clean at season end is what I do now, and my current coat looks better at four years than that one did at two.

Depends on the task. I supervise anything writing to files I care about. But for 'find everywhere this config is set across the monorepo', absolutely walk away.
One vote for airlocks if you ever plan to go away for a weekend. Not the case you described, but it is the only situation where I have missed them.
